The restaurant offers traditional dishes from Milan and elsewhere in Italy, reinterpreted with a modern twist, playing on a contrast of textures, flavors and colors.

The elegantly understated atmosphere is further enhanced by the cherry wood paneling on the walls. There is also a 'table d'hôte' - a small table for a maximum of four diners, with an insight into the work of the restaurant workers in the kitchen.

Il Ristorante Trussardi alla Scala

Another Milan restaurant that boasts a Michelin star is Il Ristorante Trussardi, which travelers can find at Piazza della Scala 5. Using high-quality ingredients, the flavorful dishes are carefully prepared to a consistently high standard.

Combinations that are surprising but never too bold or exaggerated, a careful choice of ingredients and the use of seasonal products are the hallmarks of this restaurant specializing in traditional Italian cuisine, which is the hallmark of a gourmet. Tokuyoshi

With a Japanese touch, the Tokuyoshi restaurant at Via San Calocero 3 has earned its Michelin star. The mention of creative cooking in Milan immediately brings Yoji Tokuyoshi to mind. With Tokuyoshi's typical Japanese humility and precision, this chef has been serving imaginative food in his namesake restaurant for the past few years.

La Latteria de San Marco

Fresh pastaThe restaurant La Latteria de San Marco, located at Via San Marco 24, has only eight tables and with no reservations available, it is important not to arrive hungry. The restaurant offers a vegetable-specific menu that changes daily.

The decor is a bit kitschy, but the restaurant is a characteristic part of the Brera district.

If you're lucky enough to find a seat, hope that crudaiola, a cold vegetable soup, is on the menu. Otherwise, you can't go wrong with main courses like testaroli (triangular-shaped pasta) with zucchini, eggplant and salted ricotta. Chef Arturo Maggi, who has owned the restaurant since 1965, claims to cook much of his dishes in a silver pan - making them particularly easy to digest.

Potafiori

The flower-filled restaurant is located at Via Salasco 17. It's trendy and pleasant, unpretentious but thriving. With "fiori cibo musica" (flowers, food, music), this combined flower shop/restaurant/cocktail bar advertises itself on its website. The menu is small but delicious and the wine list matches the food.

It is above all the magnificent flowers that attract guests to this restaurant. From morning to night, model lions and retired couples gather here. Flowering cretonne aprons reinforce the impression that the staff are friendly to their diners.
